Manny Martinez Middle School is a free - public charter school named for one of Denver’s longtime community activists, and is located in a separate and distinctive wing of West High School.  Manny Martinez Middle School offers Denver parents a neighborhood school that provides children in grades 6th – 8th with a unique and personalized learning experience.   

Parents and teachers at Manny Martinez Middle School work together to create an educational program developed for every individual student’s achievement and success. 

A choice of distinction 

• Manny Martinez Middle School’s teachers are passionate educators who foster a spirit of life-long learning in each and everyone one of their students.
• Parents are encouraged to play an important and active role in their students’ education.  With teachers and administrators, parents are part of the learning team that monitors and advances their child’s educational progress.
• The school uses EdisonLearning’s Benchmark Assessment System that helps teachers set individual learning goals and monitor the progress of each student.
• In addition to the academics, students learn about character and a sense of community, and how to achieve the goal of becoming a contributing member of society.

Manny Martinez dedicated a lifetime of service to the West Side community.  The school is proud to honor his memory and pass on his message of hope and aspiration to a new generation.
