Culture of Engagement and Aspiration - Alliance™

Great programs, curriculum, and staff can only go so far to improve achievement if the students are not surrounded by an environment that encourages them to perform to their full potential. EdisonLearning Alliance™ meets this need by establishing a culture that empowers students to shape their experience in a positive way. The program is based on EdisonLearning’s “Culture of Engagement and Aspiration,” one of the Four Cornerstones of highly effective schools.

Organizing schools for the success of every student

Because Alliance™ is not a one-size-fits-all offering, schools receive support that aligns with their values and goals. Using EdisonLearning’s proven tools and best practices, Alliance helps schools create highly effective communities that facilitate personalized learning and support for students, improve communication, and foster relationships between teachers, students, and parents.

Scheduling support from the on-site Alliance Achievement Team and from EdisonLearning’s national support network ensures that regular group training and planning time is built into the school day.

Training provided at EdisonLearning conferences is reinforced by ongoing support to ensure that leaders receive what they need to transform their school with a focus on student achievement.

Enhancing the learning environment

The Alliance Achievement Team works closely with schools to establish a positive learning environment: a supportive atmosphere with a foundation of core values that reflect community and school goals, where students feel safe and are focused on learning.

Alliance provides schools with a rich array of resources from EdisonLearning’s Student Management Handbook, putting in place initiatives that set high expectations, remind students of expected behavior, and provide incentives to reward good conduct.

In addition, the Alliance Achievement Team works together with teachers and administrators to analyze student behavior data and address areas of concern before they become real problems. The end result is an environment in which students are empowered to shape the quality of their experiences, recognize and develop their unique personal strengths, and strive for and attain high levels of success.
